Debuting in San Diego in summer 2022, Orli La Jolla reimagines a 1910s-era landmark building in the seaside village, delivering a boutique hotel experience with the spirit of a homestay and the convenience of a custom web app.
Constant jet-setters from a young age, siblings Hailey and Max Waitt came to find that the perfect hotels for nurturing meaningful, memorable travel were few and far between. Intimately understanding the range of what’s possible — and what’s most valuable — in a hospitality experience, the two set forth with their own nuanced vision of serving the discerning traveler, starting with one 13-room historic destination in their beloved hometown by the sea.

Armed with his experience interning with design-focused real estate development company Relevant Group in Hollywood, Maxwell looks forward to future opportunities throughout the development space, from multifamily real estate projects to his work building destination hotel brand Orli. With his passion for luxury design and acute attention to detail, Maxwell works with partners to create unforgettable experiences.
